So I was watching the OWN the other day and Oprah was talking to director James Cameron of Avatar, ( It was an old show she was discussing) and they talked about a phrase in the movie that was so key to the whole outlook of it, without you really noticing. It was the words "I see you". And Oprah talked about how if people in the world today were to greet one another like this, we would live in a very different world. Imagine that if you can, someone coming up to you, or pausing in the street and saying "I see you". Not hi, or hey with that awkward glance or even avoiding looks. No ignoring one's presence or uncomfortable moments. "I see you". Those words really moved me, more so the meaning behind them. When they say I see you, what they are really saying is: "I acknowledge your "being", I see God in you, therefore, I see myself in you. I love you for you and what you symbolize, for what you offer the world and in the ways you can touch my life. I respect your being here, and I welcome you." Imagine what a world like that would be...
